January 2010
Wow, what weather we have all experienced recently. Although the severe conditions made life difficult at times, the snow made some interesting picture opportunities on occasions, when it was not too dull that is. However some days were extremely picturesque, snow covered fields, and forests with bright blue skies and warm sunshine. Although some days were bitterly cold, it was very pleasant to get out amongst it. Check out some of my winter images in the galleries "latest Images" tab

November 09 - Konik Ponies of Wicken Fen
Something I have wanted to do for a while is photograph the Konik Ponies on Wicken fen in Cambridgeshire. These beautiful ponies live as wild on the fens and have an immense amount of character. Throughout the day they can be seen trotting, running, grazing, chasing each other and tussling. They are extremely social towards each other, very "close-knit" and after watching them for some time, you start to recognise some of their behaviour characteristics. The good people who look after the fens here are very helpful and full of information to help you better understand them. I have a collection of images which can be found in the galleries section, click here.
